Prochlorperazine buccal tablets (Buccastem M) is a type of drug known as phenothiazine. These tablets are used for treating nausea, that may result from migraines, vertigo, and inner ear issues. Buccal tablets are placed under the lip on the gum line where they slowly dissolve in the mouth hence providing lasting relief. They are a popular option among individuals with swallowing difficulties. The tablets main ingredient, prochlorperazine, stops the nauseous and vomiting feeling by blocking the activity of dopamine receptors in the area of the brain that triggers nausea.
