Dalacin 2% cream is effective in treating bacterial vaginosis. It works by killing the bacteria that cause the infection and can help clear up symptoms within a few days. It is important to complete the full course of treatment to ensure the infection is completely cleared.

Warnings

  • You must not engage in unprotected sexual intercourse when using Dalacin.

Directions

  • Dalacin 2% cream should be used according to your doctor's instructions.
  • Wash your hands before and after interacting with the medication.
  • Remove the cap from the tube and attach a disposable plastic applicator.
  • Push the cream into the applicator by squeezing it from the bottom.
  • When the plunger on the applicator has been fully depressed, unscrew and replace the applicator cap once it's clean.
  • Lying on your back with your legs raised allows you to insert the device as far up as possible vaginally.
  • Slowly push down on the plunger on the application until all of the creams has been removed.
  • Immediately remove and discard any applicators after use.

Ingredients

  • The active ingredient in Dalacin 2% cream is clindamycin phosphate.
  • The inactive ingredients are stearic acid, polysorbate 60, benzyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, propylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, and liquid paraffin.
